Your Role

We have recently started a new operation at Varvsudden in Landskrona, and we are now looking for welders and sheet metal workers who want to join our unique production of state-of-the-art submarines and surface vessels at one of the world's most modern shipyards.

In your role, you will work with new installations, maintenance, and repairs. We use a wide range of welding methods from MIG/MAG to TIG and robotic welding, and material thicknesses over 10mm, which will put your skills and craftsmanship to the test. In your profession as a welder and heavy sheet metal worker, you will come into contact with various special steels for submarine manufacturing.

Your Profile

To fit as a welder with us, you have:

• Work experience in welding with various welding methods
• Experience with welding method 136
• Experience with welding method 141 or 111
• Education or equivalent experience in welding with material thicknesses over 10 mm
• Experience in reading technical drawings
• Flexibility, teamwork skills, initiative, and organizational skills
• Computer skills

To fit as a heavy sheet metal worker with us, you have:

• Experience in heavy sheet metal work and welding
• Experience in manufacturing and assembling steel structures
• Industrial technical high school education
• Good knowledge in reading technical drawings
• Experience with welding method 136, 141, and 111 in material thicknesses over 10 mm
• Computer skills

We consider it an advantage for both roles if you have:

• Welding licenses
• Experience in preheating materials
• Experience in gas burning
• Hot work certification
• Experience in carbon arc gouging/carbon arc chipping
• Previous work in material group 3
• Previous work in the shipbuilding industry or another heavy welding industry.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable security protection regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may entail requirements for certain citizenship.
